To this day, very few politicians have demonstrated truly excellent training or capabilities.

Although he studied political science, a field still considered utterly useless, in 2009 he publicly stated on German television (ARD) something that is still far too rarely said: namely, the obligation to acquire high-level professional qualifications for political office. He literally said that "politicians still lack any proper training."
